Moscow stocks see positive start on Wednesday

The Russian stock indices showed growth at the opening of the Moscow Exchange on Wednesday. As of 10:20 am Moscow time, the MOEX index increased to 2,839.61 points 0.31 per cent, and the RTS index reached 1,050.36 points 0.31 per cent.

Earlier, at 10:00 am, the MOEX index had risen by 0.33 per cent to 2,840.21 points, while the RTS index was up by 0.33 per cent to 1,050.59 points.

The yuan-to-ruble exchange rate initially increased by 0.1 kopecks from the previous session’s close to 11.851 roubles but then slowed its decline to 11,829 roubles (-2.1 kopecks).
