National Bank of Egypt: pretax profit at EGP48.263 billion in 15 months
The National Bank of Egypt (NBE), the country’s biggest state lender, said on Sunday its pretax profit rose to 48.263 billion Egyptian pounds ($3.1 billion) in the July 2020 to September 2021 period.
Earlier, pretax profit stood at 30.602 billion pounds for the financial year ended on June 2020.
Net profit recorded around 19.080 billion pounds in the July 2020 to September 2021 period, up from 13.067 billion pounds in the financial year ended on June 2020, according to the bank’s financial statements viewed by Amwal Al Ghad.
The bank also said its net profit reached 4.077 billion pounds for the third quarter from July to September 2021.
