Egypt’s Arab Contractors plans to deliver next April a ready mix concrete plant, in cooperation with Orascom Construction Industries, AC vice chairman Sayed Farouk announced.
The plant is to serve the new Suez Canal Projects’ tunnels.
Farouk further said the plant would be located between Ismailia and Port Said in one of the land plots owned by Arab Contractors to serve the tunnel projects.
The two companies are planning to build 7 tunnels, 3 in Port Said and 4 in Ismailia, beneath the Suez Canal.
The tunnels are designated for cars and the railway, to eventually create logistics services in the area, immediately after starting works in the development of Suez Canal and operating the new Canal.
The coalition between Arab Contractors and Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) is under the supervision of the Armed Forces’ Engineering Authority, responsible for constructing a total of six tunnels under the Suez Canal.
