Oil exploration in Egypt’s Gulf of Suez

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi endorsed Law No.9 for Year 2019 authorising oil minister to contract with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and DEA Suez GmbH Group to explore for oil in the areas of Ras Badran and Gulf el Zeit in the Gulf of Suez.

The law was passed by the House of Representatives and published in the official gazette
