Pakistan’s provincial government Thursday issued an official notification of release from duty against the doctor who helped American authorities trace Osama Bin Laden.
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government issued an official notification in this regard on Thursday.
Dr. Shakeel Afridi along with a team of seventeen doctors helped the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) set up a fake polio vaccination program in Abbottabad in an attempt to confirm that Osama Bin Laden was hiding in the city.
Provincial Health Secretary Ashfaq Khan confirmed to media that the dismissal notice of Dr. Afridi has been issued. He added that the other seventeen health workers have already been dismissed from their duties, according to KUNA.
