Pakistan’s food exports surge in 1st 5m of FY 24-25

Pakistan’s food exports in the first five months of the current fiscal year 2024-25 have risen by 19.60 per cent compared to the same period last year, as reported by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

From July to November of the current fiscal year (July 2024 – June 2025), food commodity exports totalled $3.155 billion, up from $2.638 billion during the same period last fiscal year.

The PBS reported that rice, sugar, fish and fish preparations, meat and meat preparations, fruits, and tobacco were among the food commodities that experienced an increase in export sales.
