Palestinian children face general trauma over war in Gaza – UNICEF
United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) said on Friday that according to the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, the children have endured heart-breaking trauma, marked by destruction and relentless hostilities.
“After little more than three weeks, the devastating tally is quickly adding up, with rampant grave violations being committed against children,” said UNICEF executive director Catherine Russell.
It is worth mentioning that Israeli forces have killed 3,457 Palestinian children in Gaza, representing more than 40 percent of the total death toll, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.
The number of Palestinian children killed in Gaza in the last three weeks has exceeded the annual number of children killed across the world’s conflict zones since 2019, according to Charity Organisation for Children.
