Qatar’s oil and natural gas exports fell 5.4 percent in March year-on-year, reaching $5.2 billion, according to a statement released by state’s Planning and Statistics Authority on Sunday.
Qatari exports total value in March was 30.9 billion riyals, a decline of 15.5 percent year over year, and a 0.6 percent decrease compared to February 2023, the report mentioned.
The value of merchandise imports declined in March 2023, reaching about 9.6 billion riyals, a decrease of 4.6 percent compared to March of 2022, and an increase of 18.1 percent compared to February of this year.
In March, Qatar’s trade balance reached a surplus of 21.3 billion riyals, down 19.6 percent from the same month the previous year, a decrease of approximately 1.6 billion riyals, 7.2 percent compared to February this year.
