Real Madrid turned down interest from seven clubs over Nuri Sahin during the January transfer window, Der Spiegel reports.
Among the clubs allegedly keen on the 23-year-old were Inter, and Sahin’s former team Dortmund. The report also claimed interest from two ‘top’ English clubs and three others.
Dortmund, who sold the Turkey international to Real Madrid for €10 million last summer, even made an inquiry as to how much it would cost to buy back their former star. However, the Spanish giants dismissed all interest, labeling the player not for sale.
Sahin has yet to play since the transfer window closed, and has only made five competitive appearances all season. He has received support from Real Madrid assistant coach Aitor Karanka, however, and supposedly remains in Jose Mourinho’s plans.
