Cairo Criminal Court adjourned Saturday the retrial of former prime minister Ahmed Nazif and former interior minister Habib El-Adly on corruption charges to 27 October.
Nazif was accused in April 2011 of awarding a LE92 million contract for the manufacture of licence plates to a German firm without putting it up for public tender as stipulated by law.
El-Adly and former finance minister Youssef Boutros-Ghali are being retried over the same matter.
In the original trial Nazif received a one-year suspended sentence.
The retrial was ordered after El-Adly appealed the verdict in the first trial.
