Russia eyes joint projects with Tanzania in key sectors
Russian is keen on joint projects with Tanzania in areas of tourism, energy, and agriculture, said Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov on Monday.
Following a meeting with Tanzanian Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa, Reshetnikov emphasised the strong political and diplomatic ties between the two countries that create favourable conditions for enhancing trade and economic cooperation.
“Tanzanian business shows great interest in Russia. Russian business, in turn, is ready to enter new markets, invest in joint projects, and share technologies. We are ready to help the Tanzanian economy maintain high growth rates in energy, agriculture, infrastructure development, and tourism,” Reshetnikov stated.
The Russian delegation, led by Reshetnikov, arrived in Tanzania to participate in the first meeting of the Russian-Tanzanian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.
The discussions focused on current interactions and promising areas for future collaboration, highlighting the reliable and historically established relations between the governments, businesses, and people of Russia and Tanzania.
