Russian stocks surge in midday trading

Russian stocks rose during midday trading on Monday. By 14:22 Moscow time (11:15 PM GMT), the MOEX index had advanced by 2.34 per cent to 2,684.69 points, while the RTS index similarly increased by 2.34 per cent, reaching 941.56 points.
