Russian stocks up on Tuesday

Russia’s stock market edged higher on Tuesday midday. The MOEX index increased by 0.09 per cent to 2,766.16 points by 12:19 Moscow time (09:15 GMT), while the RTS index also rose by 0.09 per cent to 949.5 points.

Concurrently, the yuan appreciated against the rouble, reaching 12.81 roubles, up from 11.7 rubles at 10:15 Moscow time (07:15 GMT).
