Russia’s mortgage lending grows 0.9 in August ’24

Russian mortgage lending rose slightly in August 2024 to 0.9 per cent from 0.7 per cent in July, Bank of Russia reported on Tuesday.

The total volume of mortgages issued also grew to 375 billion rubles, up from 356 billion rubles in July.

The regulator also highlighted that the total volume of loans issued under all state mortgage programmes rose by six percent in August, reaching approximately 196 billion rubles from 185 billion rubles in July.
