S. Korea’s export prices rise in Oct. ’24
South Korea’s export price index in Korean Won (KRW) rose 1.7 per cent month-on-month in October 2024, and 2.0 per cent from the previous year, a preliminary report from the Bank of Korea (BOK) showed on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the import price index declined 2.5 per cent year-on-year, while increasing 2.2 per cent month-on-month, according to the report.
Export volume increased by 5.7 per cent, and import volume rose by 5.9 per cent. This led to a 6.1 per cent year-on-year increase in the export value index and a 2.3 per cent increase in the import value index.
