S. Korea’s industrial output rises in June ’25

South Korea’s Index of All Industry Production rose by 1.2 per cent in June compared to May, government data showed on Thursday, reflecting a steady recovery across key sectors.

The index was also up 0.8 per cent year-on-year, supported by stronger manufacturing activity. The Manufacturing Production Index climbed 1.7 per cent month-on-month and 1.8 per cent from a year earlier.

Manufacturing shipments also strengthened, with the Shipment Index rising 1.8 per cent from May and 0.2 per cent compared to June 2024.

Meanwhile, the Manufacturing Inventory Index edged up 0.2 per cent from May but declined by 5.0 per cent from June 2024.
