The Saudi Company for Visa and Travel Solutions (SVTS) launched it Visa Services Centre (Tasheer) in Egypt on Wednesday. The centre is the largest of its kind in the Middle East and can handle 2,400 passports a day.
The SVTS has a total number of 80 employees and is fully owned by the Saudi sovereign Public Investment Fund.
The headquarters of the centre is located in Cairo, with 11 other main branches across Greater Cairo, Alexandria and Suez.
This will facilitate access for customers and provide them with enough services in a comfortable manner.
The Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Osama Nugali was given a briefing on the centre’s workflow as well as a detailed explanation of all the services that it provides to applicants.
These will include services such as receiving the passport, processing of the application, taking the biometric characteristics, and issuing the visa.
“The center’s work is in line with Saudi Arabia’s application of the electronic visa service in Egypt, which seeks to automate and raise the quality of consular services provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in May this year.”
