Saudi- Egyptian Diplomatic Tensions not to affect Financial Aid

Farouk el-Okdah, the governor of the Egyptian central bank has said diplomatic tensions between Egypt and Saudi Arabia will not affect a Saudi financial aid package to his country, Bloomberg has reported. “It will arrive for sure,” el-Okdah said without elaborating. “This has been agreed on between the two countries.” Saudi Arabia recalled its ambassador and closed its embassy in Egypt after what it described as “unjustified” protests against the kingdom.
