The Egyptian tycoon Naguib Sawiris has announced that he is against the formation of the constituent assembly to draft the post-revolution constitution.
“We will not surrender to a theocratic-state constitution … down with absolute power … despotism … and clutching … The real honest patriotic individuals shall quit.” Sawiris said on his personal page on Twitter.
Worth mentioning, Sawiris had quitted from the constituent assembly to draft the constitution saying “I do not want to take part in forging Egypt’s future.”
“It is possible and makes sense to agree on what the majority would say but it is not while writing the constitution.” Sawiris said during his interview with Riham El Sahly
“The Muslim Brotherhood had breached its initial agreement on the way of forming the constituent assembly. MBs want to seize 50% of the assembly’s total seats.”
“This is not going to happen; people have become more aware than before.”
