SCZONE, FEI collaborate to overcome industrial barriers, expand exports

Egypt’s General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) is strengthening its collaboration with the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) to enhance industrial investment and boost exports.

On Monday, SCZONE Chairman Waleid Gamal El-Dien met with FEI Chairman Mohamed Zaki El Sewedy and representatives from various industrial chambers to explore new opportunities and address challenges facing export-oriented industries.

The discussions centered on facilitating industrial expansion within SCZONE, streamlining operations for manufacturers, and positioning  “made-in-Egypt” products more competitively in global markets. Efforts to remove investment barriers and support industrial growth were key topics, underscoring SCZONE’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment.

SCZONE has made significant strides in recent years, securing 255 projects worth $6.2 billion over the past 30 months and generating approximately 28,000 jobs. In January 2025, the SCZONE Board of Directors approved four new projects totaling $1.84 billion in investments, reinforcing the zone’s role as a key driver of Egypt’s economic development.

As Egypt’s premier economic hub, SCZONE continues to attract strategic investments, positioning itself as a leading industrial and logistics gateway for regional and global markets.
