Shell to complete deep-water oil, gas exploration in Egypt

Royal Dutch Shell Plcis will resume exploration for oil and gas in Egypt’s deep-water of the Mediterranean Sea, executive vice president Sami Iskander has said on Tuesday.

This came on the sidelines of the 9th Mediterranean Offshore Conference and Exhibition held in Alexandria, Egypt, Reuters reported.

Egypt aims to attract more investments in the energy sector and in a bid to boost new-found discoveries to achieve gas self-sufficiency by the end of 2018.
