Sisi calls for consensual solution on grain export agreement
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said on Friday that it is important to find a consensual solution on the grain export agreement, this came during his speech on the second day of the Russian-African Summit held in St. Petersburg.
al-Sisi further stressed in the second edition of the summit that kicked off on Thursday with the participation of 49 countries including Egypt, on finding solutions for Africa’s food and fertiliser prices.
He told Russia-Africa summit that it was “essential to reach agreement” on reviving the deal, which Russia quit because it said Ukraine and the West were failing to hold up their end of the bargain.
al-Sisi expressed his deep appreciation to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin for his warm welcome and hospitality, adding: “I am pleased to be present today, at the second session of the Russian-African Summit…”
