Sisi: Egypt seeks to become regional energy hub to Europe

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said Monday that Egypt seeks to become a regional and global hub for energy generation, transmission, and distribution to Europe and Germany in particular.

Egypt will start exporting natural gas in 2020, given the recent major gas finds in the Mediterranean Sea and North Delta, Sisi added during the German-Egyptian Economic Forum in Berlin.
