Sisi urges govt. to boost petroleum investments, production

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has directed the government to ensure the regular settlement of financial dues owed to companies operating in the petroleum and gas sector to sustain investor confidence. He stressed the need to intensify exploration and production activities, particularly in newly-discovered wells, while expanding efforts in onshore and offshore areas.

During a meeting with senior officials, including the Prime Minister and the Ministers of Finance and Petroleum, President Sisi emphasised the importance of securing the necessary resources to meet national demand for petroleum products, especially for development projects. He also called for strengthened cooperation with international companies and local investors to attract private sector investments and expand regional collaboration in petroleum and gas.

The president highlighted the government’s role in meeting citizens’ needs across sectors and advancing economic growth to build a robust, investment-friendly economy.
