SK Hynix plans $4b investment in Indiana

South Korean SK Hynix, a supplier to Nvidia, is planning to invest around $4 billion in a new chip packaging facility in West Lafayette, Indiana, Reuters reported on Tuesday, citing the Wall Street Journal.

The facility is expected to start operations in 2028 and could create 800 to 1,000 new jobs. SK Hynix has not confirmed the investment decision yet.
