Spain’s Endesa in talks to divest stake in renewables unit
Endesa, a Spanish power company, is reportedly in the final stages of negotiations to sell shares in its renewable assets, Reuters reported on Wednesday.
The company’s Chief Financial Officer, Marco Palermo, indicated that there might be updates on this matter in the first half of this year.
Similar to other companies like Repsol and Iberdrola, Endesa, which is under the control of Italy’s Enel, is looking to generate funds for new renewable projects by selling stakes in its more mature assets.
