Sri Lanka’s President arrives Egypt to address COP27
President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe left the country this morning heading to Egypt to address climate change issues in Sri Lanka and around the world on 7 and 8 November at the UN climate summit COP27.
Wickremesinghe will also attend the Global Food Security Forum and World Leaders Forum, in conjunction the climate change conference.
At COP 27, countries come together to take action towards achieving the world’s collective climate goals as agreed under the Paris Agreement and convention.
Minister of Environment Naseer Ahamed, senior advisor to the President on climate change Ruwan Wijewardene, and President’s International Affairs Director Dinouk Colambage will be accompanying the President.
