The Embassy of Sweden in Cairo on Tuesday celebrated Sweden Day, under the rubric “Inspiring Sweden” to highlight Swedish values and innovations.
More than 20 Swedish companies present in Egypt and over 2000 invitees attended the event.
Both multinational and small-sized Swedish companies presented their latest innovations, products, and services, allowing guests to experience their offerings firsthand. A startup-corner featured Swedish tech innovations with a strong Egyptian connection.
Swedish ambassador to Egypt Jan Thesleff took the opportunity to highlight the long and historic relationship between the two countries, mentioning the importance of efforts to further connect Swedes and Egyptians to each other.
“Today is about celebrating the strong Swedish-Egyptian ties that already exist, as well as looking towards the future and how we can further deepen our relations,” said Ambassador Thesleff. “Egyptians and Swedes are creative and I believe we can inspire one another.
