Taiwan lifts restrictions on Fukushima food

Taiwan has lifted restrictions on food imports from Japan imposed after the Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011, according to Japan’s agriculture ministry.

Taiwan has removed its import ban on wild game meat, mushrooms, and wild vegetables from Fukushima and four nearby prefectures. Proper documentation on radiation tests and product origin are required.

Tokyo recently reached an agreement with Beijing on wastewater discharge from the plant, allowing seafood shipments from Japan to China to resume.
