Taylor Swift broke an attendance record at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh with 73,117 attendees to her second concert in the state on Saturday, as part of her Eras Tour, according to the venue.
The number of attendees to Swift’s concert is the largest ever audience in the stadium’s history, breaking a record previously held by Garth Brooks, who performed to a crowd of 72,887 in 2019.
“Pittsburgh thank you for making me feel sooooo at home in my home state. I mean… You broke the all time attendance record and we got to be the first tour to play your stadium twice,” said Swift, a Pennsylvania native, paying tribute to the Pittsburgh crowd through an Instagram post on Sunday.
Swift also made the Saturday concert more special by performing her surprise song for the night, Seven, from her eighth studio album, Folklore, with the National frontman, Aaron Dessner, whom she collaborated with for the song. She pays homage to her home state through the lyrics of Seven.
Swift also performed The Story of Us from her third studio album, Speak Now, as the second surprise song.
