Egypt’s fixed line monopoly Telecom Egypt announced on Tuesday it signed a commercial agreement with mobile operators Mobinil and Vodafone to provide infrastructure and international services.
The agreement for the infrastructure service will have a five-year term for Mobinil, 3 years with Vodafone. The international calling services will have four-year term for both companies, Telecom Egypt said.
Telecom Egypt further added in a bourse statement that its infrastructure stretches to nearly tens of thousands of kilometers throughout Egypt, with an increase of 6.25% and added capacity of 50% achieved in the previous two years.
