Thailand has started an investigation into imports of steel sheets from Egypt for possible dumping and subsidisation, said head of the Egyptian Authority for Anti-Dumping announced Sunday.
Ibrahim El-Segeiny said the Thai Ministry of Industry had notified the Egyptian Authority for Anti-Dumping of its plans to impose anti-dumping duties on Egyptian steel sheets in the coming period.
“This isn’t correct; Egyptian steel sheets don’t capture more than 3 percent of the Thai market after all,” El-Segeiny told Amwal Al Ghad.
