Egyptian trade and local development ministries have agreed on organising exhibitions to promote furniture made in Damietta governorate , Minister of Trade Tarek Qabil said Sunday.
He stated that those exhibitions will showcase the products of small producers as well as micro and small-sized workshops and set to be held in a number of governorates starting from Beni Suef, Minya, Qena, Sohag, and Assiut.
The minister made these remarks during his meeting with Damietta’s Members of Parliament in the attendance of Minister of Local Development Ahmed Zaki Badr and Damietta governor Ismail Taha in addition to a number of small furniture producers.
Qabil clarified that Egypt Expo & Convention Authority (EECA) – affiliated to the ministry- will be responsible for the orgnaisational and technical sides of the exhibitions.
Qabil noted that Damietta governor and MPs will coordinate and cooperate with the producers themselves to determine the participants in the exhibitions.
On other side, Badr pointed out that local development ministry will determine exhibitions’ locations and dates in cooperation with governors to help producers from all governorates to present and promote their products.
