Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Wednesday that he was cancelling plans to visit Israel because of its “inhumane” war against Gaza, adding that he viewed Hamas as “liberators” fighting for their own land.
Erdogan further added while addressing the Parliament that “Tel Aviv is ‘acting like a terrorist organisation’ and ‘committing crimes against humanity.” He also said that “of course, we had good intentions, but (Netanyahu) abused them,”
It is worth mentioning the president did not say when he had intended to visit Israel, where Ankara had been eyeing joining a natural gas pipeline project promoted by the United States.
