Egyptian Chemical Export Council (CEC) choose two Kenyan and Ugandan marketing firms to promote sector’s products in Africa within the coming period, Head Khaled Abou El Makarem stated Monday.
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad, the chairman stated that the council received four offers from marketing firms to promote sector’s exports to Africa and Europe.
The council choose those two firms according to their financial and technical offers that suit council’s promoting strategy.
He clarified that representatives of the two firms are set to visit Egypt by the end of August to hold a meeting to discuss all details and sign the contracts.
The two companies would be responsible for promoting products of chemical sector to enter African markets notably Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania in addition to providing all information that may help exporters.
The council also plans entering the Russian market as it is coordinating with Egyptian embassy in Russia to organise a promotional campaign there, the chairman stated.
Chairman El Makarem added that the council held a number of meetings with Egyptian trade and industry minister Tarek Qabil to discuss a number of topics notably boosting exports volume within the upcoming period.
