U.S. coronavirus cases pass 890,000, death toll marks 51,000

U.S. coronavirus cases have surpassed 890,524 cases on Friday, including at least 51,017 deaths, according to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University (JHU).

On Friday, the U.S. reported 21,579 new infections and 1,130 more deaths, the data added.

The figures include cases from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and other U.S. territories, as well as repatriated cases and those in the U.S. military, veterans hospitals, and federal prisons.
