The U.S. reported on Monday at least 17,597 new coronavirus cases and 1,154 fatalities, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.
The US has now recorded total coronavirus infections of at least 1,347,388 in addition to 80,682 related deaths, Hopkins University data showed.
The tallies included cases from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and other U.S. territories, as well as repatriated cases.
New York is the state hardest-hit of the coronavirus, with over 337,055 confirmed cases and 26,988 deaths — or about 139 deaths per 100,000 residents.
