Ukrainian organic food producers have significantly increased their exports in the first half of 2024, with a 32.3 per cent year-on-year rise to 75.34 million tons, according to Organic Standard LLC, Ukraine’s leading organic certification body.
The data highlights a notable growth trend, with exports climbing from 56.95 million tons in 2023 to 47.86 million tons in 2022 and 32.35 million tons in 2021. Organic Standard attributed this increase to the high quality of certified products and rising global demand for organic foods.
Founded in 2007 as part of a Ukrainian-Swiss project, Organic Standard has played a key role in certifying and developing Ukraine’s organic market, reflecting the country’s growing presence in international organic markets.
