UN condemns Israeli attacks on Gaza health sector as ‘sadistic’

The United Nations (UN) special rapporteur Francesca Albanese condemned Israeli attacks on the health sector of the enclaved Gaza as “sadistic,” according to her post on the X platform on Wednesday.

“Hospitals & medical personnel are sacred, especially at a time of great destruction, suffering, & despair as this senseless war against the people in Gaza,” Albanese also stated.

It is worth mentioning that the US-backed offensive has killed more than 20,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 52,586 others. Thousands more are also missing and presumed dead under the rubble.
