Cairo Opera House announces Christmas festivities programme
The Cairo Opera House is organising a special series of concerts to celebrate Christmas and the holiday season. These concerts will span an entire week at their various theatres in Cairo, Alexandria, and Damanhour.
On Friday, the Cairo Opera Band and the Cairo Opera Orchestra will start the programme with a concert at the Sayed Darwish Theatre, Alexandria Opera. They will perform a selection of the finest global performances in celebration of Christmas and the New Year.
The Cairo Symphony Orchestra has scheduled two Christmas concerts at the Grand Theatre, one on Saturday, and the other on Sunday.
On Sunday, the Coptic praise group is set to perform at the Republic Theater. Additionally, trumpet player Mohamed Helmy will give a concert at the Small Theatre on Monday.
The Opera House will conclude its 2023 evenings with a Christmas concert featuring the Mother of Light Choir. The performances will take place on Friday, December 29, and Saturday, December 30, at the Republic Theatre.
