Food products maker Unilever Mashreq plans to establish factory for food industries in Egypt’s Alexandria by the middle of 2017 with investments worth 600 million Egyptian pounds (US$67.5 million).
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad Sunday, Managing Director Ashraf Bakry stated that the company is currently conducting studies about the total space on which the new plant would be built and its capacity.
Unilever Mashreq is keen on exporting most of its products to a number of foreign markets, the official clarified.
Bakry noted that Unilever Mashreq raised its market share in Egypt recently through entering the field of hair care products.
