United States market briefing 16/05/2023

The United States market closed low on Tuesday with the Dow dropping by -1.01 percent to close at 33,012.14. The index lost 336.46 points, recording a day high value of 33,290.85 and a day low value of 33,006.19.

NASDAQ inched down by -0.18 percent and lost 22.16 points to close at 12,343.05. It recorded a day high value of 12,403.81 and a day low value of 12,324.52.

S&P 500 fell by -0.64 percent to 4,109.90 after it lost 26.38 points. The index recorded a day high value of 4,135.54 and a day low value of 4,109.86.
