Unprecedented progress seen in Egypt-UK economic ties – BEBA chair
Egypt and the UK are expected to witness unprecedented progress in bilateral relations in terms of attracting new investments to the North African country next year, said the British Egyptian Business Association’s (BEBA) chairman on Friday.
The BEBA-led door-knock mission to the UK, held from November 27 to 29, has succeeded in informing the British business community of the recent economic, structural, fiscal, and legislative reforms undergone by the Egyptian government to improve the investment climate, Khaled Nosseir said.
The door-knock mission to the UK aimed to discuss bolstering bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The mission included Egyptian Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait, Minister of International Cooperation and Investment Sahar Nasr, and Transport Minister Kamel al-Wazir, besides Yehia Zaki, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).
