US stocks open higher on Tuesday
US stocks opened higher on Tuesday morning (ET). At 09:56 ET (13:56 GMT), the Dow Jones rose 142.66 points, or 0.36 per cent, at the open to 39,499.67.
The broader S&P 500 also gained 43.33 points, or 0.81 per cent, to 5,387.72, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite opened higher by 215.82 points, or 1.29 per cent, to 16,996.43.
