Wethaq Takaful Egypt’s investments rise to $41.5 mln June-end

Wethaq Takaful Insurance-Egypt said on Sunday its investments increased to 669.090 million Egyptian pounds ($41.5 million) at the end of the 2018/2019 financial year.

Investments earlier registered 517.218 million pounds at the end of the 2017/2018 financial year.

At the end of June, insurance policy holders’ equities surged to 408.913 million pounds against 307.031 million pounds during the same period in 2018.

Shareholders’ equity also climbed to 215.624 million pounds versus 175.743 million pounds at the end of last June.

The company’s generated surplus from insurance activity worth 67.788 million pounds during the last financial year, up from 63 million pounds during the financial year 2017/2018.
