The Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade has accepted to grant the licenses and final approve to 1252 new factories with EGP 13.8 investment cost, from July 2011 till the end of June 2012.
Reliable sources in the ministry told Amwal Al Ghad that these investments provide 45.948 new job opportunities in the factories, while thousands of opportunities will be outsourcing.
The sources added that the first-year production of these new industrial investments is expected to reach EGP 26.5, to boost Egypt’s Gross Domestic Product and promote the rate of the economic growth.
The engineering industrial activity has 374 enterprises, 29.9% of the total number of enterprises, the chemical industries sector has 267 ones, about 21.3%, then the food industries with 14.7%, 177 enterprises, followed by the textile which has 142 ones, 11.3%, then the building materials industry has 105 enterprises, in addition to the wood activity has 102 ones.
The sources revealed the the textile sector tops the sectors in the number of job opportunities, which have been provided, out of 11207 job opportunities; about 24.4% of total job opportunities in different industries.
