Israel set free 39 Palestinian prisoners from women and children in exchange for 24 Israelis held by Hamas, Al Arabiya reported on Friday.
The deal took place on the first day of the four-day humanitarian pause in Gaza.
It includes the release of 50 Israeli hostages for 150-300 Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli prisons.
The first batch of Palestinian hostages were released from Damon prison in Israel and headed to the occupied West Bank.
While the Israeli hostages made it to Israel through the border with Egypt.
The four-day truce came after a 48-day continuous aggression on Gaza, which killed more than 15,000 innocent civilians and injured more than 31,000.
