The total coronavirus cases in Spain had jumped to more than 188,068 on Friday, up from 182,816 on Thursday, the country’s health ministry said.
Spain is second second-highest in the world of the number of the coronavirus infections after the United States.
Spain’s Minister of Social Security and Migration Jose Luis said earlier Friday that the government would try to support around 1 million of the poorest households with a monthly basic wage.
Speaking to COPE radio station, Luis said the policy was designed to help people survive the coronavirus crisis.
