South Korea reports no new coronavirus domestic cases for first time since February peak
South Korea reported on Wednesday no locally transmitted coronavirus cases for the first time since its February 29 peak, according to Reuters.
However, there were still four new infections, all attributed to travellers from overseas, bringing the country’s total to 10,765, according to the Korea Centres for Disease control and Prevention.
The country also reported on Wednesday one death, bringing the total number of fatalities at 247.
South Korea has been widely praised for its efforts in successfully containing the coronavirus outbreak, after it placed in widespread testing and intensive contact tracing.
