On the sidelines of Euromoney Conference, Eng. Safwan Thabet –the CEO of Juhayna Food Industries – said the firm plans to establish its new factory in Minya Governorate with initial investments worth EGP 75 million. Accordingly, Juhayna’s total investments have hiked to EGP 450 million in 2012, compared to EGP 375 million in 2011.
In exclusive statements to Amwal Al Ghad, Thabet stated that Juhayna’s agenda of expansions includes all the country’s governorates targeting the establishment of further farms and factors.
Thabet has also revealed that in 2009, the firm had fully paid the government for a land area of about 10.000 meters, but he could not obtain the land up till now. Yet, he stated that he does not consider suing the government for the time being for the purpose of preserving the country’s wheel of production and the reputation of the Egyptian economy as well.
